What is NJFP?
NJFP is a FREE Poker League, where players compete in live,
nightly, Tournament Texas Hold’em Events at local bars,
restaurants and other locations.
How Does it Work?
In each nightly tournament, the 10 Players who reach the
final table earn points, based on their finishing positions.
Each nightly winner, the 200 top scorers and the 5 players
with the best attendance, qualify for the NJFP Finals.
Scores are posted online or review the Standings at any NJFP
Event. Start time 7:00PM/Sun 3PM
*Do I Win Anything?
The First Place finisher, of the NJFP Final Tournament, will
be eligible for a FREE sponsorship to play in a World Series
of Poker or World Poker Tour Major Event, incl. Travel. (No
Cash Value/Non-Transferable)
How Much Does it Cost?
It’s 100% FREE! There are NO fees, NO buy-ins, NO cover
charges, NO drink minimums, or other costs of any kind…
there is NO risk of losing anything, but plenty to gain.
Gambling is strictly prohibited!
The NJFP Tournament Already Started, Can I Still Play and
Win?
Absolutely! You can join in at any time, and compete for the
sponsorship. The NJFP Points structure is designed to allow
any player to catch up. Remember, it only takes one win to
qualify for the Finals.
Do I Have to Know How to Play Poker?
NO! Anyone can play, even if you have never played poker
before. Just show up a half-hour before any game starts, and
we will teach you to play Texas Hold’em…“It takes minutes to
learn and a lifetime to master!”
Do I Have to Shuffle and Deal the Cards?
NO! Unlike our competitors, NJFP provides Professional Poker
Dealers to guide you through the game. NJFP Dealers offer
Free Poker Lessons, every night at 6:30PM
Where Can I Play?
At any NJFP Host location… NJFP is constantly expanding its
schedule of participating venues, with new locations added
regularly. Please visit our website or call for updated
schedule and promotional information.
How Often do I Have to Play?
You can play as much as you’d like, at any and all NJFP
locations. The more you play, the more points you can earn,
which can increase your starting chip stack for the Finals,
giving you an advantage over the other Players.
How Do I Join NJFP?
Fill out a FREE Membership Application at any host location
or Register Online. You can join and play, on the same night
as the tournament. Get there early, seats are limited, but
we usually play 2 tournaments per night. If you’re late for
the first event, you can still play in the second, and
sometimes a third tournament.
How do I Register for the Nightly Events?
Register up to 3 hours before start, online or by calling
NJFP to reserve a seat, which are first come-first served.
What if There Aren’t Any NJFP Host Locations in My Area?
If you don’t see your favorite hangout listed, tell us… and
then let them know that you would like to play poker at
their establishment. If they agree to host NJFP events, you
get an automatic entry into our final tournament.
How Old do I Have to Be?
You must be at least 21 years old to participate. Valid ID
is required to be eligible for the sponsorship.
How do I register for a tournament?
First, you must be registered as a player with the NJFP. To
do this, simply click on
Signup Link and fill out
the information. Next check the schedule, you will
find a Register button, simply click on this button and
confirm your registration when the new window opens.
You can also register at any establishment hosting a poker
event. Also you can Sign up during a schedule event at
least 3 hour prior to play or contact us TOLL FREE at

When will I receive my
Member ID#?
Your number will usually be issued and e-mailed within 1 - 3
days of registration. You will also receive a player
ID card either by mail or at a scheduled poker event if you
pre-register.

For Business Owners Interest In Hosting An Event:
Why would people want to play if there is no money to win?
Because like other events, it is about the competition. It’s
about sitting down with a group of 50-100 other players, and
being the last one standing. It’s about improving your game
each week, and working your way to the top! And of course,
Top Tournament Winners will be eligible for
sponsorship by NJFP and play World Class Poker at a Major
Event in the World Poker Tour (WPT) or The World Series of
Poker (WSOP)
How many players should I expect?
Every business establishment is different, both in
popularity and size, so that number can vary. We have seen
turnouts as few as 30 and as big as 150! The trend is so
popular, everyone wants to play Texas Hold ‘Em especially if
the have the opportunity for a free seat at a major poker
tournament.
What if I don’t have enough room to host a tournament?
Everyone has the room to host a tournament. If you have 4
tables you can push together, you can be a host with NJFP.
What nights are the tournaments held?
You can hold tournaments any night you would like, of course
this is a great way to increase business during your slow
times.
How do I get the word out that I am a NJFP host?
First, the NJFP website advertises the schedule all of your
tournaments online, so your entire schedule will be
available to players in your area. Also we supply
registration forms, poster and marketing info.
What kinds of prizes do I give away?
None, the player are competing for a sponsor seat to a major
poker tournament with the average buy in value of up to
$10,000 plus paid traveling expenses.

* NJFP reserves the right to change,
revoke or alter sponsorship at any time at its sole
discretion. NJFP reserves the right to ban or remove any
player from play at any time, for, but not limited to,
disruptive behavior, foul language, physical confrontations,
cheating, promoting other businesses, etc. No NJFP Player
may be in competition with NJFP previously or currently at
time of sponsorship opportunity or fulfillment. NJFP Player
recognizes that he/she has been chosen by NJFP based on
several factors. Some of those factors include the way the
Player has conducted themselves in prior free tournaments,
their demonstration of a high level of skill and proper
etiquette in those tournaments, their ability to relate to
and socialize with other players and NJFP’s perception that
the Player will represent them with high regard.
